La Mentoure: Elsa Lambey (vocals, flutes) and Florent Briqué (trumpets) draw on a Burgundian repertoire brought to light by archive material from the late 19th century and the 1970s. Mary May sings of the essential and of heritage, blending soul, reggae, hip-hop and Central African rhythms. Carried by a crystal-clear voice and sensitive guitar playing, and accompanied by her trio, she explores her Congolese roots through music that connects bodies and hearts.
