Bocata Trio is a three-voice polyphonic all-female Brazilian music group.

Passionate about Brazilian culture, the trio revisits this subtle repertoire through carefully chosen pieces. The concert features bossa nova, samba and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), with original three-part arrangements inspired by the sounds of jazz.

The lead and backing vocals are exchanged between the three voices, allowing the timbre of each to be heard, and scat also makes an appearance on certain tracks.

The musicians accompany themselves with acoustic instruments: guitar, double bass, ukulele. The transverse flute plays a solo, and percussion instruments (shaker, clave, surdo, guiro) provide rhythmic support.

Bocata trio invites you to discover, or rediscover, this repertoire. A gentle, sunny musical moment that lends itself to attentive listening in a concert hall, as well as creating a warm musical atmosphere in more informal settings.
