Make your own little notebook
The Maison des Lumières Denis Diderot exhibits numerous books, including the famous Encyclopédie by Diderot and d’Alembert. Its leather binding, decorated with gold leaf, demonstrates the exceptional craftsmanship of the bookbinders of the time.Following a presentation in the exhibition hall, the young participants will make a small notebook using the accordion-fold binding technique.
For 7–11-year-olds: 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm

Little Naturalist
The guide will talk to the children about natural history, showing them a display case of stuffed birds and plates from the Encyclopédie illustrated with plants. In the workshop, each child will make one or more fossil impressions.
For 4–6-year-olds: 4.15 pm to 5.15 pm
