This closing performance by Aline Reviriaud brings the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze to life through movement. Two acrobats — including Leonardo Ferreira, whom you may have seen in 2025 in *Violentia* — and an actor bring to life a selection of letters drawn from the eight hours of filmed interviews that make up *L’Abécédaire*, excerpts of which we are delighted to hear.
*The Acrobatic Alphabet* invites us to experience philosophy in motion, through an immediate and physical engagement with the body. Feeling thus becomes the catalyst for thought. Each letter (D for desire, R for resistance…) is a performance, oscillating between abstraction, flights of fancy and concrete examples. There’s juggling, there are missteps, there’s standing tall, there’s jubilation, there’s falling, there’s zigzagging, there’s resistance… *L’Abécédaire acrobatique* is a joyful act of creation, a stroll through thought that is invented together with the audience. The bodies offer this powerful infinity of enactment(s), where we experience together the sensations, the immediacy of the gesture, the joy of thinking in unison, ‘here and now’!
And this understanding brings joy, for philosophy becomes a friend.
