By the theatre company Sept heures d’avance (Haute-Marne)
Ages 12 and over › Running time: 1 hour › Booking essential
The first verbatim theatre piece in France, *La Métamorphose* is a documentary-style production created exclusively from interviews with people aged between 3 and 98, in Langres and elsewhere, exploring a universal question: what does it mean to grow up? Blending theatre and dance, *La Métamorphose* explores the passage of time and how it transforms us. From one voice to another, from one age to another, from one body to another, we journey through memories both anecdotal and profound: first experiences, the changing body, love, having a child or not, the mid-life crisis, illness, bereavement… Everything that, ultimately, shapes a life. We are not talking here about old age, but about metamorphosis. For growing up means experiencing a body in motion. *La Métamorphose* highlights a profoundly human truth: our bodies, too, tell our story.
A special performance for participants in the Culture and Health project (see p. 4) and school groups on Thursday 8 October at 2.30 pm, organised by Arts Vivants 52 in partnership with the City of Langres’ Performances and Associations Department.
