ARPL 2026 - Forever young

By the theatre company Sept heures d’avance
Concept, artistic direction and coordination: Bertille Mirallié
Photographers: Elsa Leviant and Simon Chirat

Suitable for all ages › Free admission

This exhibition of portraits emerged from intimate conversations and special moments spent at the Langres care home and with local carers. A narrative has taken shape and inspired each portrait. Terms such as ‘resident’, ‘care staff’ or ‘carer’ thus give way to individuality: a laugh, a shared vulnerability, an unspoken dream, a unique way of living in the moment. Forever Young invites us to shift our perspective: these portraits, tinged with humour, strip away the masks of age and social roles. What emerges are eyes in which dreams still dance, hands that tell a thousand stories, and faces where every wrinkle bears witness not to decline, but to a journey that continues to unfold – for growing old is not the same as disappearing, and providing care never fully defines a person.

This exhibition is the result of a Culture and Health project led by the association Sept heures d’avance and funded by the DRAC, the ARS and the Grand Est Region, as well as Arts Vivants 52 and the City of Langres.
It is linked to the show *La Métamorphose*.
